Subject	Compression test on engine

Message	I found a garage that has a couple JDM motors for sale. They said they would do a compression test in front of me to make sure the engine is good. Are the compression numbers from the test supposed to be the same as if it was in a car and hooked up? According to Ash the test readings should be between 121-175 on a tt motor but if it's not in the car would the range be different?
